TextUtil can change cases,angles, apply prefixes and suffixes, drop lines of text into words, place coordinates, and create grade elevation boxes.
These tasks can be performed by the use of a fence, selection set, or individual selection.
Align
The align command will arrange multiple text placements to a common user specified angle, regardless of current rotation.
KEYIN:
TEXTUTIL ALIGN
Procedure
Select text using a fence, selection set, or individually.
Define the desired angle in the Align angle box.
Accept the command.
Change Case
The command will change the case of any text which the user specifies.This command can change text to lower, upper, sentence, and title cases.
KEY IN:
TEXTUTIL CHCASE
Procedure
Select text using a fence, selection set, or individually.
Define the desired case in the Chcase box.
Accept the command.
Grade
The Grade command will allow a user to enter data into a grade text box and specify the angle to place it on screen.
KEY IN:
TEXTUTIL GRADE
Procedure
Define the elevation text and active angle in the Tool Settings box.
Place the text.
Label Grid
The Label Grid command allows the user to identify the labeling coordinates and place the data using cell slide.
KEY IN:
TEXTUTIL LBLGRID
Procedure
Define the Northing, Easting and separator values in the Lblgrid box.
Select the element on which to place the coordinates.
Slide the text along the element and place where desired
Parse
The Parse command allows the user to drop a line of text into single words based on a separator key, this command will not work on text nodes or multiple lines of text.
KEY IN:
TEXTUTIL PARSE
Procedure
Select the line of text to drop.
Determine the separator within the line of text.
Define whether or not to keep the original text line.
Accept the command.
Prepend/Append
This command allows the user to insert a prefix or suffix to words by the use of a fence, selection set or individual selections.
KEY IN:
TEXTUTIL PREPEND
Procedure
Select text using a fence, selection set, or individually.
Define the text to Append or Prepend in the text box.
